Claritas merger supplies 'seamless' lifestyle data
NDL International, CMT and Claritas Micromarketing have merged to become one of the UK's largest lifestyle data suppliers.
Called Claritas, the restructured company will offer a streamlined buying process and a single point of contact for clients.
The move is part of a worldwide realignment of the Claritas Group. Last October, the Dutch, German and French operations dropped the Calyx company name to rebrand as Claritas.
The remaining nine European operations are also set to change their names by the autumn as part of the VNU-owned company's strategy to provide a seamless and consistent international service and build on the success of the Claritas brand in the US where it is market leader.
Mark Patron, Claritas managing director, rules out any plans to merge NDL's Lifestyle Selector and CMT's Behaviour Bank lifestyle databases together.
"The real change is that over the years, NDL, CMT and Claritas have been selling products individually, but we are now trying a more client focused approach," adds Patron.
Both CMT group planning director, Donald Hamilton, and NDL sales director, Dawn Orr, have been given equal footing in the new management team.
Hamilton becomes director of direct marketing services while Orr becomes director of database and micromarketing. In addition, Orr has been given responsibility for developing new areas
