Analysis company to target consumer data
Data analysis specialist Rocket Science is aiming to expand into the consumer market as part of aggressive plans for growth over the next five years.
The company has appointed Mark Patron as non-executive director to oversee business development. Founder and chairman of Abacus Europe and Naviant Europe and co-founder of Claritas Europe, he will be responsible for widening the market for Rocket Science, which aims to increase its turnover to £20m by 2006.
"The consumer side is exciting because of the unique proposition that Rocket Science brings to the market, but we will not stop having business-to-business clients," explains Patron. "I am excited by the potential this approach has for a wider market."
The data engineering firm, which boasts clients such as Highland Distillers and Honda, has been around in various guises since 1992. It was sold to US company Targetbase in 1997 and then to Omnicom in 1999. It was bought out by the co-founders and relaunched as an independent in June 2001.
